Northeast Regional Director

Regional Director – USTL is seeking Regional Directors to run the organizations activities across a geographic territory. The applicant should reside in their region. The position will involve roughly 50% travel time depending on the region. The position reports to the Executive Director and manages 2-3 professional state directors as well as volunteer organizers in the region.

The primary job in this role is overseeing USTL’s interest in the states in the region, and working with our state teams (both volunteer and paid) to maximize our impact.

Applicant should have extensive knowledge of grassroots organizing and at least moderate knowledge of the legislative process. Additionally, past political campaign or issue campaign experience would be ideal.

Applicant should have familiarity with MS Word, MS Excel, social media, and digital activism.

USTL will also execute events within each region that this position will be responsible for executing. The Regional Director will work with the State Directors to ensure good turnout at these events.

Lastly, the position will be the main point of contact between the national office and its resources and the states. The Regional Director will work to develop plans for each state in their region and then help them get the support needed from the national office for success.
